AMD announced it will be unleashing its 7nm Navi GPUs and Rome Epyc server processors in the third quarter of this year. Q3 starts in July and ends September, so that is roughly and at least two months away.

That leaves announcements to be made at Computex for NAVI, but not a release that is very closeby. AMD was not precise about a set date for NAVI, just Q3. NAVI is the new mainstream GPU architecture based on a 7nm fabrication node with GDDR6 graphics memory that is set to replace Polaris. On the EPIC server processor front, Rome is pushed to Q3, with their up-to a staggering 64 cores. The news was shared during a post-earnings conference call.

Also mentioned was that the first 7nm Navi-gpu to be released will cost less than the Radeon VII video card that the company released early this year.
