The ASRock Z690 Taichi Razer Edition is the result of a collaboration between the company and Razer and the third product to be developed by ASRock and Razer together.

Its hardware should be identical to the vanilla Z690 Taichi in terms of specifications. The design, which is inspired by Razer Chroma, distinguishes it from the competition. The passive heatsinks on the motherboard have been changed to fit the appearance of the Razer Blade. The Z690 Taichi Razer Edition comes pre-installed with Razer Chroma technology.

Thus, the Z690 Taichi Razer Edition should include a 20-phase power delivery subsystem on an eight-layer PCB, as well as the same 105A SPS and premium 90A power chokes as the standard Z690 Taichi Razer Edition Additionally, the motherboard includes two 8-pin EPS power connectors to ensure that your Alder Lake processor receives enough power to overclock. The motherboard has four DDR5 memory slots that can accommodate DDR5-6400+ modules, XMP 3.0, and memory modules of up to 128GB in capacity.

There are a plethora of storage options available. Six SATA III connectors as well as three M.2 2280 slots (two PCIe 4.0 x4 and one SATA III) are included in the price of the system. SATA ports are capable of supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, but M.2 slots are only capable of supporting RAID 0, 1, and 5. In addition to a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, the motherboard offers three PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slots and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. The PCIe 16 slots behave differently depending on how many PCIe devices you have installed on your motherboard. When using one graphics card, the primary expansion slot operates at PCIe 5.0 x16, whereas using two graphics cards reduces the performance of both expansion ports to PCIe 5.0 x8. When the third device is added, it is compatible with PCIe 5.0x8 and 4.0x4 expansion slots.

The Z690 Taichi Razer Edition comes with two Intel Thunderbolt 4 ports. Gigabit Ethernet is supported by Intel's I219V controller, whereas 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet is supported by Killer's E3100G controller. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth are also supported by the motherboard.

Realtek's ALC1220 audio codec is used in the Z690 Taichi Razer Edition, and it offers 7.1-channel high-definition audio. There is also a gold-plated ESS Sabre ES9218 digital-to-analog converter. There are additionally five 3.5mm audio connectors with LEDs and one optical S/PDIF output on the back of the device. There are numerous connectors on the motherboard. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connectors and four USB 4.0 Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports are located on the back panel of the computer. A USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C header is also available on the front panel of the device.

This model is available for purchase at Scan in the United Kingdom for £559.99 (US$766.359). The conventional Z690 Taichi is listed for £539.99 ($738.98) in the shop, thus the Razer Edition appears to be a 3.7 percent premium above the standard model.
