A Newegg customer says that instead of the RTX 4090 he ordered, he got weights.

A Reddit user bought a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card from Newegg not long ago. But when this user got the package, they got a surprise (he claims). He found that the box did not have a graphics card inside. 



Instead, it had two weights inside to make the customer think there was a real product inside. After the user asked for help from Newegg, it looks like the account was locked.

This scam is not the first one we have seen or heard about. Some people who bought new graphics cards ended up with different products or cards than the ones they bought. On the other hand, that can work vice versa, a customer can quickly try and cheap their purchase that way.  Still, if true ...
