Windows 2000/XP ATi just released Click To Read Article [Copyright 2004 Guru3D.com]an early version of CATALYST 4.9 to users interested in increasing performance of Doom 3.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE YOU PROCEED:

The BETA display drivers found here are offered AS IS, without warranty of any kind, and have NOT been completely qualified by ATI. Usage of these drivers are without support of any kind, and you use them at your own risk.

ATI does NOT recommend installing these drivers in systems used for mission critical operations or where productivity of any kind is a concern.

Unless you are very comfortable with installing and un-installing drivers, we DO NOT recommend that you use the drivers provided here. These BETA Drivers are NOT SUPPORTED by ATI Customer Care or any other ATI department.

There is no word on performance just yet, however rumors promise nice performance bumps. If you like to learn more about these drivers then please visit our ATi drivers forum section. 

This is a full release including drives, control panel and WDM capture drivers

If you decide to install this set then remember, this is a BETA version; you use it at your own risk. Don't go complaining to ATI if it does not suit your needs and wishes.

** Update - on the Europe and American download mirrors you'll find our [guru3d.com] repacked versions. I was able to slice another 4 MB off the drivers by repacking/compressing them. Now they are 18 MB, this should safe you some time if you have a slower connection.
