Beta catalyst driver 6.1½ (beta)
Alright then, we initially did not want to post this driver however we received so many emails about this release that we'll just go will go ahead and post this driver. This Catalyst beta driver is floating arround the web at several resources for a couple of days now. Some users in our forums claim some nice improvements in primary synthetic benchmarks, yet I can't stress enough that this is an unofficial ATI Catalyst beta release.

That means use it at your own risk and don't go complaining to ATI if the driver does not function well for you. Some people are claiming a decent 500 score increase in 3DMark06 which is a lot. Word is that this driver has been seeded to some members of the press (and I wasn't one of them) to support the 1900 XT range of graphics cards better.

This driver is not Catalyst 6.1 or 6.2 .. The DirectX3D and OpenGL libraries however differ a little bit over the 6.1 drivers. Therefor we figured naming these drivers catalyst 6.1½ is appropriate.
