ASUS has prepped another LCD monitor for you guys. This is the  newly released 27-inch LCD monitor from ASUS, the VX279H. Adopting an AH-IPS panel, this new 27-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

AMD anti Micro-stutter Crossfire Driver delayed to late July

AMD announced on Twitter that their anti micro-stutter aka frame pacing driver has been delayed to end July, the driver for their multi-GPU solutions was supposed to be released this month. In a Twitter post they pretty much reversed the news as a new announcement all excited that the driver is soon to be released whilst the reality is that they delayed the release. The new driver should help fight off micro-stuttering as explained here in our initial FCAT article.

NVIDIA Project Shield launch is in USA and Canada only

The launch of project Shield next week on June 27th, I'm afraid is regional bound. In my 'Hey dude, where's my sample' request to NVIDIA Europe it became apparent that the EMEAI and APAC area's will not see Project Shield launching next week. NVIDIA EU right now can not say when Shield will actually launch for these regions. So that means that the Nvidia Shield launch next week is aimed at US and Canada only with the rest of the globe to follow later.

Samsung ATIV Tab 3 seems to be thinnest Windows 8 tablet

Samsung has a lot of announcements today, they introduce the ATIV Tab 3, a new Windows 8 tablet with a thickness of only 8.2mm and a weight of 550g. The device has a 10.1" screen with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and is powered by Intel's Atom Z2760 1.8GHz SoC.

NVIDIA’s new portable gaming device SHIELD is going to be released June 27 with a (now lower) price of $299. NVIDIA is cutting off fifty bucks to meet that exact price. And with that announcement also comes a release date – June 27th. SHIELD will release in one week at the new price of $299. Those who have already pre-ordered the device at the original price will see an automatic reduction, so no worries there.

Anyway, it's all over the web so here we go, EVGA's GeForce GTX 760 graphics card lineup has been uncloacled on the web. There are six models. EVGA's GTX 760 lineup starts off with a base-model, which uses its new ACX cooling solution that made its debut with this generation. This card will stick to NVIDIA reference clock speeds of 980 MHz core, 1033 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory, and feature 2 GB of memory.

Ooh, daang that is just weirdness ! Xigmatek introduces the Orthrus SD1467, a new high-end processor cooler with a copper base and seven 6mm diameter heatpipes. Five heatpipes guide the heat to the main aluminium heatsink, which is cooled by a 140mm PWM fan with white LEDs, while the other two heatpipes direct the heat to a smaller heatsink that's cooled by a 80mm PWM fan, which also has white LEDs.

Researchers Make nano 3D printed batteries

Researchers from Harvard University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have created nano-scale li-ion batteries using 3D printing techniques. The battery is smaller than a grain of sand and is capable of delivering power and holding a charge similar to commercial batteries. The new 3D printed battery may become a great solution for medical implants, as well as future gadgets that require ultra-small batteries.

Kim Dotcom today said on Twitter that Megaupload user data in Europe has been "irreversibly lost" because it was deleted by a Netherlands-based server hosting company called LeaseWeb. VERY BAD NEWS: #Leaseweb has wiped ALL #Megaupload servers. All user data & crucial evidence for our defense destroyed "without warning".
