More Radeon R9 390X Specs Leak

Published by

Hours ago a new set of photos have leaked showing slides from the Radeon R9 390X, including specs. These slides have been shown board-partners, and somebody photographed them.

Obviously you need to remain sceptical about the fact that these photos leak the day Nvidia is launching Titan X. If the specs are true then the Radeon R9 390X is going to be a beast, rumored to be 70% faster than the R9 290X.  Radeon R9 390X WCE (water-cooled edition) slide we posted earlier seems valid that as wel as the fact that  R9 390X will feature 4,096 stream processors. The GPU is clocked at up to 1050 MHz. The R9 390X indeed features a 4096-bit wide HBM memory bus as speculated over the past few months, you can expect 4 and 8 GB memory models. We expect HBA to be expensive though, so 4GB is more likely

That  memory is clocked at 1.25 GHz. You will spot 6-pin + 8-pin power connectors. The slides indicate single-precision floating point performance of 8.6 TFLOP/s. That's pretty huge TBH - much faster than the NVIDIA's GM200 products. AMD claims that the R9 390X will be 50-60% faster than the R9 290X, and we're talking about benchmarks such as Battlefield 4 and FarCry 4. The product is not expected to launch before the summer though.

Well have a peek yourself, as far as I can tell these slides are the real deal:
