That's why case cooling is important as I explained in your last thread.....
Yeh. Sadly, the extra case cooling makes things noisier so I don't really know how much less noise one can get with these open air coolers.

Is this just a different set of fans on the stock heat sink? There is a large gap at the back and a reference PCB. Don't get me wrong the fans gotta be better than the stock cooler, but I hope they are not charging too much of a premium here.

Cockers have got some of the 290X's in now. EDIT: They were only £489 about an hr ago, but are now £499, so whacked a tenner on, look to be going to take advantage of the mining. :P
