The game doesn't have be connected to the reality so precisely.
It’s a world war 2 game, it should represent how things were on the front lines in world war 2. If you begin telling history the way it wasn’t, just to be politically correct then you are re-writing history. Which is disrespectful to all who were present during that era. If Dice wants to make an alternate universe world war 2 and include that as part of the storyline then that’s absolutely fine. Command and Conquer Red Alert did a fantastic job with that back in the 90’s with their full motion video clips.

What if they just want to tell their own fictional story inside WW2? Is that not allowed? They have to recreate an entire alternate universe? They can't build a fun story around a ragtag team of misfits on a fictional mission to kill Hitler or something? When that trailer came out I looked at it as a fictional story. The color was comically saturated and the dialogue and animations, the entire scene really, looked like a Nathan Drake Battlefield game. I thought it was pretty cool they were going in a different direction; then I come to Guru3D only to see people completely outraged that it's a female as the lead character. Even if it is trying to be historical, couldn't this character just be a representation/tribute to the female soldiers who did fight in WW2? or even the women at home who contributed and watched as their sons/husbands returned in boxes? It's not like you can represent them any other way in a Battlefield game.

^ At least someone gets it. Where was all the outrage for the hundreds of movies that have used ww2 as a backdrop but have used their own characters, events ect? I wonder if people think they are a realistic portrayal of what ww2 was. People are acting like this is the first piece of media ever to use real world horrific events as a backdrop to a piece of entertainment.

Maybe if the girl didn't look like Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn with Adam Jensen's augmented arm, i think people would have been more accepting of a girl on the front lines in a WWII game. But they made her look so out of place that she'd be better suited as a sci fi protagonist. Think back to Wonder Woman. She wears metal underwear, has a laser lasso and a tiara. Looks totally out of place in WWII. But when Steve gives her some 1940's attire and she puts them on, suddenly she looks like she's part of that era and can blend in believably: https://i.imgur.com/iFYL0ym.jpg This costume and makeup looks totally out of place: https://i.imgur.com/Q3VmSR0.jpg

she is cute and did well in the movie but they did wonder a big injustice because wonder has bigger cleavage . I am not just trying to be stupid either, seriously
