people like to throw a fit over tn panels, this is a good price imo for early adopters.

I fail to understand a purpose of 4k monitor.
In any office work it's pure bliss when you have lots of desktop estate for multiple windows.

How about having 3 monitors instead? I got 2 monitors at work, which total resolution will surpass 4k monitor.

Three monitors requires three hdmi/vga/dvi ports. In normal offices they rarely buy any GPUs, let alone ones that have that many ports. But yes, I have a dual display setup at work too. I'd rather have a dual 4k display setup though 😀

I'm sorry, but your logic seems to be a tad off. can't have small angles with 4K unless you put it far away? Are you trying to say that because of the TN panel on the 4K display, you'd have to have the screen further away? 4K or not, a 28" screen is a 28" screen. I'm sure it would look beautiful no matter how far away or close you are to it. Unless you're using your computer with your eyes glued to the bezel, i'm sure you'd be good no matter the setup you have. CDJay: I'm pretty sure the Asus monitor will suffer the same 4K framerate if they're aiming for roughly the same price point. Don't see any other way around it other than basically using the same panel.
I count in centimeters, so let's do some math 28" = roughly 71cm Such screen is 62cm wide and 35cm tall. The color dispersion related to the vertical angle is a little more visible for me, so lets focus on that now. Assuming that if you have the monitor perfectly aligned, and the normal directed from the center of monitor would point between your eyes, you'd have the top and bottom edges off by 17,5cm. Many ergonomics guidelines suggest that the normal from the top edge should be directed at the eyes. In such case, you'd have 35cm distance from the normal start point to the bottom of the screen. My eyes are around 70cm from the screen. Depending on the alignment, the angle would be arctan(17,5/70) or 35/70, effectively 14-27 degrees. That's more than enough to result in a huge color shift, even in the case of center of the screen aimed at your eyes. I have a small helper TN monitor on the side, and moving my head up or down by even 2cm results in perceived color shift. Of course the current panels are better, but not so much. The problem wasn't that disturbing with 19" monitors, but it's clearly visible with 24", and 28" and more will make it even worse. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to say that TN monitors are the bane of humanity. I've even considered getting one for gaming. But I don't find them acceptable for long-term use. I'm a software developer, so color accuracy is not critical (although it helps when making user interface parts), and I decided to pay more, and get 27" IPS screen (Dell U2713H) to make it stress my eyes a little less. It does make a difference in the long run. There might be a kinda good 4k gamer-oriented monitor with TN panel: - 24" - 4k, preferably with G-Sync, but can be static 60Hz or even 30Hz, for every-day reading - 120+Hz FullHd with lag close to none for gaming You'd get kinda acceptable angles (still, I'd rather pay more for xVA/IPS), 120Hz+ for games, and great looking fonts (around 200DPI) in documents when you're not playing.

Hi mate way OT I want to import a vehicle from Japan and wondered if u know of any decent exporters or dealers? Or even someone who could physically inspect the car? I can pay ofc.... I'm specifically looking for a BMW M5, so far I've seen one that looks reasonable but know nothing about these people. This is the exact type I want but prefer black leather over velour. Not bad overall, low km's however the $1200 NZD alloys have some bad curb rash.

Hey Pill, sorry I am not into cars and I don't own one and have no idea whom to contact. Since BMW is German car, maybe its worth contacting someone who lives in German or local BMW service center?
