The Steam Winter Sale 2017 is now in effect

Valve started its Steam Winter Sale, which will run up-to January the 4th. The Steam Store home page will show you many discounts on smaller and big games. Currently, Middle Earth Shadow of War shows 30% off. Other games in the top selection such as Prey show discounts of 90 percent off.

Other games in the top selection such as Prey show discounts of up to 90 percent off.  The prices displayed will last for the entire sale period. There is plenty to choose from sci-fi, strategy, and simulators. Valve also gives a solid discount on its hardware: the Steam Link, which normally goes for 55 euros over the counter, has a temporary price drop of 90% making it now available for 5.49 euros. If you buy the Link and controller together, a bundle that you normally put back 110 euros, you pay 38 euros for it.

These are some of the best deals:

  • Tekken 7 - 50%
  • Tom Clancy Rainbow Six: Siege -50%
  • Elite Dangerous -75%
  • Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl -75%
  • Metal Gear Solid: Phantom pain - 80%
  • Dungeons Franchise 25 to 75% off
  • Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice -25%

We also see that Grand Theft Auto V is temporarily available for 24 euros and Assassin's Creed Origins for 42 euros, but also games like Prey and Wolfenstein II are on offer. You will find this for 20 and 30 euros respectively. The Steam Winter Sale runs until January 4, 7:00 PM CEST. Have a peek, you need to be logged into steam.

First, Hilbert, thank you for all the hard work this year, all the news, the reviews and game videos. I hope you and your family have a very enjoyable Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I'm sure that there are some bargains at the Steam sale but Wolfenstein 2 isn't one of them, I bought Wolfie 2 for £19.50 on Amazon, the Steam sale price of 30 euros is about £28.

PUBG and Rocket League are on my wishlist right now. Unfortunately I don't think PUBG is going to be going on sale anytime soon and Rocket League still hasn't managed to hit 50% off yet.
