One of the prominent sessions at this event is titled "Intel Client Hardware Roadmap and the Rise of AI." During this session, Intel will unveil its latest "client hardware platforms," including the upcoming Intel Core Ultra processors, currently codenamed Meteor Lake.

Intel Innovation, an annual tech conference by Intel, is scheduled to commence on September 19th.  he extent of detail that Intel will delve into remains uncertain. However, considering the session's focus, it is likely to emphasize the desktop platform, while also possibly covering aspects related to mobile components. VideoCardz indicates that Intel is expected to provide insights into the integrated VPU (Vision Processing Unit), which is reportedly based on Movidius hardware. Movidius, acquired by Intel a few years ago, was renowned for its expertise in developing machine learning hardware.

The VPU is anticipated to serve as a low-power accelerator, specifically designed for handling AI inference tasks within future Intel processors. Nonetheless, Intel's precise plans concerning these features in its CPUs are yet to be fully revealed, except for the intention of offering competitive alternatives to AMD's Xilinx derived AI Engine.
