Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming Rev2 Graphics Card

Gigabyte released a updated GeForce GTX 1070 that can be found under SKU code GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD rev2. The card has 1920 Shader Cores, a 256-bit memory interface, a core base clock of 1594MHz, a core boost clock of 1784MHz (Gaming Mode), a core base clock of 1620MHz, a core boost clock of 1822MHz (OC Mode) and an 8GB of GDDR5 memory set @ 8008MHz.

Featuring 16.8M customizable color lighting, the GeForce GTX 1070 (GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD rev2) comes equipped with Gigabyte’s WINDFORCE 3X cooling system and provides 1x dual-link DVI-D, 1x HDMI and 3x DisplayPort output ports.

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 (GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD rev2) will hit the market from mid-October for 58,000 Yen (about $516) and yeah, I am not quite sure what the rev2 differences are really.

To be updated.

Looking at the spec sheets for v1 and v2 they're identical so perhaps v2 just has newer bios and that warrants calling it V2.

Edit...
Spotted the difference, V1 has RGB Spectrum 16.8 million colours and V2 has RGB Fusion but only has 16.7 millions colours.....wtf....did they pay someone to count each colour. Also the software for each version is slightly different with a note (*The interface and functionality of the software is subject to each model.)....they must be struggling for ideas.

The cards are different. I had the rev1 but I got it with pcb warped out the box. Sent it back and have replaced it with rev2. See there is no coil wine at all. Power connector is in a different place and the boards are different. Seems to still be limited info as to what has changed.the driver disc is different in the box has AORUS picture on it and AORUS driver. The coolers are also different in terms of heat sinks and not the front cover of the heat sink. Any info further investigation would be much appreciated ...
