The California-based EVGA Corporation has announced the release of its "SuperNOVA Gold FTW" series, ATX 3.0 compatible power supply units that have earned 80PLUS GOLD certification. The series includes two models: the 1000W "EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G FTW" and the 850W "EVGA SuperNOVA 850G FTW".

The EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G FTW, compliant with the ATX 3.0 standard, is capable of delivering up to 235% of the rated power and 300% of GPU power at peak performance. This fully modular system also features a 12VHPWR connector, which is standard with PCI Express 5.0. The unit adopts a low ripple, strict voltage regulation circuit design that integrates a half-bridge LLC circuit with a DC-DC converter.

Internally, the unit houses 100% high-reliability Japanese-made capacitors on both primary and secondary sides. The +12V rail operates on a single-lane specification, offering a maximum output of 83.3A for the 1000W model.

Additionally, the cooling mechanism employs a 135mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan and supports an Eco mode, enabling semi-fanless operation when switched on at the back. The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) for the unit is 100,000 hours. It includes protection circuits such as Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over Temperature Protection (OTP).

The dimensions for both the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G FTW (model number: 535-5G-1000) and the EVGA SuperNOVA 850G FTW (model number: 535-5G-850) are 150mm in width, 150mm in depth, and 86mm in height.
