Corsair PC Cases Get the Cool and Silent Treatment

One more product press release from Corsair today as they announced two new mid-tower PC cases-the Carbide Series Air 540 and the Carbide Series 330R. Both cases incorporate innovative and unique features for superior cooling and quiet operation. The Carbide Series Air 540 is designed with a wider form factor with two "side-by-side" chambers and a Direct Airflow Path layout. This unique design helps the case deliver best-in-class cooling at incredibly low noise levels.

The main chamber of the Carbide Series Air 540 houses the motherboard and hot-swap 3.5" drives for superior drive cooling and quick swapping. The second chamber holds the power supply, SSDs, and 5.25" drives behind the motherboard tray. The separate compartments make building a breeze and provide cleaner cable routing and superior cooling for system devices. In addition, layout in each chamber is optimized to limit obstructions and streamline airflow from the intake fans to the hottest PC components, resulting in lower temperatures and noise levels.

  • Support for Mini ITX, Micro ATX, ATX, Extended ATX motherboards and ATX power supplies
  • o Eight tool-free expansion slots that supports cards lengths up to 12.5" (320mm)
  • o Mount points for six 120mm or five 140mm fans (or 240/280mm radiator on top and 360/280/240mm radiator in front)
  • Two 5.25", two hot-swap 3.5", and four 2.5" tool-free drive bays
  • Removable front magnetic low-restriction dust filter
  • Built-in cable routing cutouts with grommets
  • Two USB 3.0 ports plus headphone/mic jacks on front panel
  • Oversized flush-mount window
  • 16.5" (407mm) deep x 17" (432mm) wide x 18" (457mm) tall

Carbide Series 330R Quiet Mid-tower PC Case

Corsair announces the quiet, attractive Carbide Series 330R for low noise home computing. Unlike other products targeted towards the low-noise fanatics, the Carbide Series 330R is designed for both low noise levels and excellent cooling performance at an attractive price point. The case is laid out with a Direct Airflow Path from the 140mm front intake fan to provide efficient cooling to the hottest components. Noise dampening material on the top panel, side panels, and front door combined with rubber feet help keep the PC quiet, and the top panel can be removed for 240mm radiator installation if desired. Couple that with features like built-in USB 3.0 and SSD capabilities and the 330R is an attractive solution for the low noise enthusiast.

  • Support for Mini ITX, Micro ATX, ATX, Extended ATX motherboards and ATX power supplies
  • Noise dampening material on the top panel, side panels, and front door
  • Direct Airflow Path
  • Up to Five fan mount locations (front 120/140mm x 2, top 120/140mm x 2, rear 120mm)
  • USB 3.0 on front panel
  • Four hard drive trays with dual HDD and SSD compatibility
  • Tool free 5.25" and 3.5" drive installation
  • Built-in cable routing cutouts with grommets
  • o 19.5" (495mm) deep x 8.3" (210mm) wide x 19" (482mm) tall

"Corsair cases are known for being good looking, easy to build, and highly configurable," commented Thi La, Senior VP and GM of Memory and Enthusiast Component Products at Corsair. "The Carbide Air 540 and 330R cases build on this tradition with Direct Airflow Path layouts for even better cooling and quieter operation."

Pricing, Availability, and Warranty
The list prices for Carbide Series Air 540 and Carbide Series 330R are $139.99 and $89.99 respectively. The cases are available now from Corsair's worldwide network of authorized distributors and resellers. Both are backed with a two year warranty and Corsair's reknown customer service and technical support.
