Acer Predator 15 15.6-Inch 4K Gaming Notebook

Acer has released its latest 15.6-inch 4K gaming notebook, the Predator 15. Based on SKU code G9-592-H73H/L this high-end gaming notebook has a 15.6-inch 3840 x 2160 4K IPS LED-backlight non-glossy display, a 2.60GHz Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, a GeForce GTX 980M 8GB graphics card, a 32GB RAM, a 256GB SSD (128GBx2 / RAID 0) and a 1TB hard drive.

Not only that, the system also sports an HD webcam, a Blu-ray drive, an SD card slot, 4x USB 3.0 ports, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1x HDMI output port, an 8-cell lithium-ion battery and built-in stereo speakers + subwoofer (w/ Predator SoundPound 2.1 technology).

Running on Windows 10 Home OS, the Predator 15 provides WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. The Acer Predator 15 is available now for around 350,000 Yen (about $3,000).

P.S. Don't buy a gaming notebook now with a GPU that was launched nearly 2 years ago (1.5), not now with Pascal coming out soon!

That thing looks OK, but $3000? For having one magically special new USB 3.1? Or for having 32GB of memory which gamers have no use for and it costs like $170 only anyway.
Or is it for having 4k screen which is not suitable for gaming as connected GPU can drive very few games in 60fps on such resolution?

Cutting price in half, using 1080p or at most 1440p screen, but 160Hz+ Free/G-Sync mandatory for gaming device.

Only thing which makes it remind me of gaming notebook is actually colored WASD. And looking at how small portion of 15" display area is taken by actual screen, it looks more like 11" baby notebook toy with huge safety bezel.
