Rambus and SK hynix Extend Patent License Agreement for Ten Years

Rambus, a leading provider of chip and silicon IP to make data faster and safer, has announced that it has extended its patent license agreement with SK hynix, a global leader in advanced semiconductor technology, for an additional ten years.

The extension, effective July 1, 2024, will provide SK hynix with broad access to the full Rambus patent portfolio through mid 2034, while maintaining similar financial terms. The specific terms and details of the agreement remain confidential.

Luc Seraphin, president and CEO of Rambus, expressed his satisfaction with the extension, stating, "SK hynix is a valued partner and customer, and we are delighted to extend our successful relationship well in advance of the agreement's expiration date.
