Gigabyte is designing a bespoke low-power RDNA2 GPU for desktops, according to product registration with the South Korean "National Radio Research Agency" (RRA). The new Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards would be available on April 20th.
Along with the Radeon RX 6X50XT series, the firm is rumored to be launching its slowest RDNA2 GPU for the DIY market. The Radeon RX 6400 is a Navi 24-based GPU with 768 Stream Processors that is presently only accessible to OEMs. This is also the only low-profile reference model in the whole series, as well as the only card that does not require external power connections (TDP of 53W). At the present, it is unknown if the DIY variant will have the same specifications as the OEM model, but the RRA leak indicates that a custom Gigabyte Eagle series product is in the works. According to prior sources, AMD is planning to release at least three new Radeon RX 6000 SKUs: 6950XT, 6750XT, and 6650XT. The RX 6400 will now be accessible to DIY consumers. The RX 6400 is hardly a gaming GPU, but it may be an interesting option for servers without separate graphics. However, due to its limits in video encoding capabilities, it may not be as suitable for home theater PCs.
