NVIDIA has released the latest GeForce driver update, version 531.61 WHQL which you can now download. It comes with several improvements and fixes.
The driver update has addressed stability concerns in Assassin's Creed Origins when using driver version 531.18. It has also fixed random crashes that occurred during gameplay in The Last of Us Part 1 on GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs. Furthermore, the black screen or hang issue that appeared during the shader compilation screen in Hogwarts Legacy has been resolved.
However, there are still a few ongoing issues to keep in mind while using this driver update. Game stability may be affected when toggling HDR on and off while using non-native resolutions. Momentary monitor flickering may occur upon waking from display sleep if DSR/DLDSR is enabled. There have been reports of unusually large and persistently flickering in-game foliage in Halo Wars 2. Moreover, flickering issues when looking at the sky in Watch Dogs 2 on GeForce RTX 4090 have been identified. Lastly, increased DPC latency has been observed in Latencymon, and the application of GeForce Experience Freestyle filters may lead to game crashes.
This driver also adds the GeForce RTX 4070.
