NVIDIA announces GeForce MX450 laptop video card with pci-e 4.0 and gddr6

Nvidia announced the GeForce MX450, however is not sharing details about which GPU it uses or how fast it is. The manufacturer does mention that MX450 has pci-e 4.0 support and can be used with gddr5 and gddr6.

So yes, new is support for gddr6 memory and the pci-e 4.0 interface. The latter could be a fit for pairing with Intel's Tiger Lake processors. MX450 could very well be a variant of the TU117 GPU (GeForce GTX 1650). If that is correct, it is probably a lower clocked variant or a version with fewer cores. The tdp of the MX450 would be 25W.

Although detailed specifications have not been clarified at this time, the API is Direct X12/Vulkan 1.2/OpgenGL 4.6/OpenCL 1.2 and supports functions such as NVIDIA GPU Boost and NVIDIA Game Ready driver. It is a product belonging to the "MX" series for entry, and the onboard notebook PCs are scheduled to be sold sequentially from October.
