MINISFORUM Introduces UM790Pro and UM780Pro Mini-PCs: Powerful AMD Ryzen Processors and Enhanced Cooling

Published by

MINISFORUM is proud to present its newest additions, the UM790Pro and UM780Pro. These cutting-edge mini-PCs are equipped with the advanced AMD Ryzen 7040HS series and an innovative Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system, highlighting MINISFORUM's commitment to pioneering research and innovation in the mini-PC arena.

The UM790Pro is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, while the UM780Pro features the Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, both reaching impressive clock speeds of 5.2 GHz and 5.1 GHz respectively. With the inclusion of the powerful 12-core integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics, these mini-PCs deliver exceptional performance comparable to dedicated graphics cards at a fraction of the cost.

A significant improvement in the UM790Pro/UM780Pro series is the introduction of an entirely new cooling system, designed to enhance heat dissipation. In addition to liquid-cooled processors, active coolers for memory and hard disk drives are also integrated. Furthermore, the UM790Pro/UM780Pro features the Killer Series wireless network card, optimizing network configuration to reduce latency and ensure seamless gameplay. In gaming tests, the performance of these mini-PCs reaches approximately 109 FPS in Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, 180 FPS in League of Legends, and maintains a stable 60 FPS in Honkai: Star Rail.

Regarding aesthetics, connectivity, and expandability, both computers boast a sleek metal chassis and offer the same array of ports, including four USB-A ports, two HDMI ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and two full-speed PD-powered USB4 ports (supporting RAID0 and RAID1 arrays). These ports enable flexible and scalable options for high-resolution and high-refresh-rate displays. The UM790Pro/UM780Pro supports dual-channel DDR5-5600 high-frequency memory and dual PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs.

In addition to today's announcement of the UM790Pro and UM780Pro, MINISFORUM has plans to release the upcoming Mercury Series models in the near future. These models will represent a new generation of 1/4-liter ultra-mini PCs, offering options with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U variants.
