Intel is to release the 610P SSD PCIe series fitted with Vertical NAND TLC in late 2017. The units will be available in volume sizes of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB.
The units based on a M.2-2280 form-factor have a PCI-express gen 3.0 x4 bus interface and thus support the NVMe (1.2) protocol reports benchlife. Intel SSD 610p is expected to debut in the fourth quarter of 2017 where the Intel SSD 600p will go EOL in the third quarter of 2018. The unit will be fitted with 16nm TLC NAND (IM Flash = Intel and Micron) Flash and an SMI controller.
