Intel phasing out 25nm NAND SSDs by year-end

Intel is switching its entire SSD lineup to 20nm over the coming months as the company announced it will phase out its 25nm SSDs by late December 2013 - mid-January 2014. Intel Corp. this week announced that it would discontinue a number of solid-state drive families based on the company’s multi-level call NAND flash memory produced using 25nm process technology. The last product shipment timeframe of such products is late December 13’ – mid-January ‘14. The company warns that it may not meet demand for previous-gen products. Intel intends to discontinue 313, 320, 520, 525 and 710-series solid-state drives of all capacities. Customers should place last orders on the SSDs in late September – mid-October, 2013. The last product discontinuance shipping dates are December 15, 2013, or January 20, 2014, depending on the model.
