The packaging for Intel's flagship i9-13900K processor has been revamped. The 13th Gen Core desktop series, codenamed Raptor Lake, is set to be officially unveiled next week.
In this case, the box with the plastic wafer carrying the i9-13900K processor inside has now made its way to the internet. It was shared by HXL, who discovered the image in a closed WeChat group. It depicts a new, thinner box design. The colour of the plastic wafer has also altered; it is now silver rather than gold.
The i9-13900K is one of Intel's top unlocked processor variants that lacks bundled cooling systems. On September 27, Intel will announce the 13th Generation Core Raptor Lake processor family.
