HP Unleashes Spectre x2 laptop hybrid that has 3K Display

HP released a new model Spectre x2 laptop, the hybrid laptop will get a 3K display with rather unusual aspect-ratio. The resolution of the panel is 3000x2000 pixels, and with an easy conversion, that would be 3:2. Most laptops are setup in a 16:9 configuration.

The new screen is a proper IPS one with an evenly proper maximum 450 nits. HP opted two USB-C's, one each on the left and right sides. The ports don't support Thunderbolt 3 and max out at 5Gbps (half that of USB 3.1's full-throttle 10Gbps), but you do get DisplayPort out of both and USB-PD charging. Not having a USB Type A is painful, but HP does at least give you a free dongle in the box (looking at you, Apple.)

The HP Spectre x2 brings the performance of 7th Intel Core processors, durability of a stainless steel hinge and ability to create with Windows Ink to a premium detachable PC.

The Spectre x2 will get a Core i7 processor, 8GB of DRAM and a 320GB SSD. of course several configuration options will be available.  HP says battery life is rated at about 7 for video playback on the 41-watt-hour battery. Spectre x2 will be available in June starting at $999.
