Twitter user HXL shared the news of the unannounced Gigabyte motherboard. A Z690 motherboard with the LGA1700 socket is shown for the first time in this shot. The images reveal a Chinese packing with the motherboard's specifications printed on it. DDR4 memory support is clearly mentioned in the product name of the motherboard in question. Prior to this announcement, Intel stated that their Alder Lake desktop processors would be compatible with both DDR4 and DDR5 memory. A similar situation existed with Intel's Skylake generation, which supported both DDR3 and DDR4 memory technologies. Gigabyte's Z690 Aorus Elite motherboard may also be available in a DDR5 configuration.
In addition, the photographs show that the motherboard contains a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for a video card, as well as four M.2 slots with a PCIe interface on the backside. The Z690 motherboard also includes a VRM with 16+1+2 phases and Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, among other things. In addition to the HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, the Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 appears to include nine USB-A connections and a USB-C connection, according to the specifications.
