Financial Results for AMD's Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2022

AMD announced its Q4 2022 financial results, reporting revenue of $5.6 billion with a 43% gross margin and an operating loss of $149 million. The net income for the quarter was $21 million and the diluted earnings per share were $0.01. 



The non-GAAP results showed a 51% gross margin, $1.3 billion operating income, $1.1 billion net income, and $0.69 diluted earnings per share. For the full year 2022, the company's revenue was $23.6 billion, 45% gross margin, $1.3 billion operating income, $1.3 billion net income and $0.84 diluted earnings per share. On a non-GAAP basis, the gross margin was 52%, operating income was $6.3 billion, net income was $5.5 billion, and diluted earnings per share were $3.50.

"2022 was a strong year for AMD as we delivered best-in-class growth and record revenue despite the weak PC environment in the second half of the year," said AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su. "We accelerated our data center momentum and closed our strategic acquisition of Xilinx, significantly diversifying our business and strengthening our financial model. Although the demand environment is mixed, we are confident in our ability to gain market share in 2023 and deliver long-term growth based on our differentiated product portfolio."
