Next week we'll have some new SSD reviews ready for you guys. Among them the amazing OCZ Vertex which recently started selling in the stores.
Corsair however released some performance figures on a yet to be released SSD drive. It's 256GB in size, comes with a samsung controller and 64MB chache memory. Tagged at $749 not exactly cheap .. no Sir.
The official product name will be Corsair P256. The SSD will feature SATA 3.0Gb/s interface, an aluminum enclosure, average read speeds of over 200 MB/s, average write speeds of 169.1 MB/s, 0.1ms random access time, and a 248.2 MB/s burst speed (though burst speeds mean absolutely nothing when you measure a SSD with HDtach).
Judging from it's price I'm not sure if this kight be a SLC NAND based drive though.
