Buffalo Launches WAPM-AXETR: Wi-Fi 6E Access Point with Capacity for 768 Devices

Buffalo announced the release of its new Wi-Fi 6E access point, the WAPM-AXETR. Capable of supporting up to 768 simultaneous connections, this tri-band access point is designed for environments with many wireless terminals, such as schools and large offices.

The WAPM-AXETR is a tri-band access point compatible with Wi-Fi 6E and capable of utilizing three frequency bands, including the 24-channel 6GHz band in addition to the conventional 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. With 2 streams per band, it supports a total of 6 streams (2+2+2) communication, enabling high-speed communication of up to 2,401 Mbps (6 GHz) + 1,201 Mbps (5 GHz) + 573 Mbps (2.4 GHz).

In addition to its high capacity, the WAPM-AXETR also features a 2.5 gigabit wired LAN port (+ gigabit LAN), allowing for the full utilization of Wi-Fi 6E speed without bottlenecks. The access point also supports the free remote management service "Kiki Navi," which enables equipment monitoring and maintenance from a remote location, reducing the burden on equipment administrators.

Buffalo is also set to release a special model, the WAPM-AXETR/Z, designed for "Kiki Navi Cloud Zero Touch," which can register a large number of devices in "Kiki Navi" at once. The estimated market price of the product is ¥109,780, or approximately $765 USD, and it is expected to be available in late April.
