ASUSTOR Begins Rolling Out Meltdown Firmware Updates

If you visit Guru3D on a regular basis, chances are pretty good that you've checked a couple of our NAS server reviews. One of the brands always on top of it all, and always actively updating even older NAS servers is ASUSTOR.

If you own an ASUSTOR NAS, you probably have the automated firmware update detection active and will get a notification, or have seen it already. But they started rolling out a new ADM 3.0.5 update for most NAS units today, and these include the Linux KPTI patch for Meltdown CPU vulnerability patch.

If you do not have multiple users on your NAS, you really shouldn't be worried either way. If you do allow multiple users on your NAS, it's advised upgrading to the new firmware. Now might be a good moment to update towards ADM v3.0 if you hadn't done so already. From the NAS settings, you can update manually, or automatically.

Release Notes Name ADM 3.0.5.RDU1 Installation Notes
