This device is designed for flexibility in placement, capable of being set up either horizontally or vertically. It incorporates the ROG dedicated cooling system, allowing the CPU to operate at up to 65W and the GPU up to 130/140W. Notably, it features a tool-free design for easy access to internal components, enabling users to remove the top cover without a screwdriver.
Connectivity options on the ROG NUC are robust, including support for ROG Aura Sync lighting, a 2.5G wired network card, and a Killer wireless network card which supports Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+) 2x2 and Bluetooth 5.3. The system also comes with a Realtek ALC256 sound card, enhancing audio output.
For interfaces, the front of the device is equipped with an SD Express ver8.0 card reader supporting UHS-I, dual USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additional connectivity includes one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, two DP1.4a ports, a 2.5G RJ45 network port, and a Kensington lock slot for security.
