ASRock announced its DDR5-compatible MicroATX motherboard Z690M PG Riptide / D5 based on Intel Z690. The company has announced that sales will commence on April the 22nd.
Based on a 13-phase VRM design that uses Dr.MOS and a 50A premium power choke, DDR5 memory slot x4 (6000MHz / OC), PCI-Express5.0 (x16), PCI-Express4.0 (x16) x1, PCI-Express3.0 (x1) x1, M.2 (Key-E for Wi-Fi) x1, and so on. Storage options include Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen.4 x 4) x1, Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen.4 x 4 & SATA3) x1, SATA3.0 (6Gbps) x4, Lightning gaming connector optimized for game play, and 2.5-inch SSD. It includes a gigabit LAN (Killer E3100G), among other things. According to ASRock, the word "Riptide" is derived from "tides and vortices" in the sea, when the currents of the tides meet.
