AMD to Release Ryzen 8000F Series Processors Globally in Retail Packaging

AMD would commence a global release of the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F processors in retail boxed format. Initially launched on AMD's official website at the start of the month, these processors were previously available only through AMD's channel brand partners in China. The Ryzen 8000F series processors, including the Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F, are designed for retail, tray, and MPK (Multi-Pack) distribution. The MPK format is typically used by system integrators and OEM manufacturers for bulk purchasing.

The Ryzen 7 8700F is a modified version of the Ryzen 7 8700G, stripped of its integrated GPU and featuring a 24MB cache. Similarly, the Ryzen 5 8400F, adapted from the Ryzen 5 8600G, lacks both an integrated GPU and NPU and includes a 22MB cache.
