Some news from AMD today, first and foremost, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900X 8-core / 16-threaded processor is available starting today.
The Ryzen Threadripper 1900X, an 8-core part, has its base clock is set at 3.8 GHz and the precision boost is 4.0 GHz, this SKU will get 16 threads. Allcore boost is 3.9 GHz btw. The part uses two zeppelin dies in a dual 4+0 configuration (this is four cores - one CCX per die).
