Mercury Research just released, their Q4 2019 x86 Processor Report, which once again demonstrates that AMD’s growth continues with the company gaining further traction in all three of the key x86 segments – notebook, desktop and server - with nine consecutive quarters of growth in notebook and desktop.
AMD-powered laptops from major OEMs increased by 50 percent in 2019, helping to drive AMD notebook share, excluding IoT, up 1.5 share points quarter over quarter, and up 4 share points year over year, hitting 16.2%.
Exiting Q4 2019, AMD has established a very competitive product portfolio across all three major segments, placing it in a strong position for 2020.
