AMD announces VMware vCenter integration

AMD rolled  out the new Radeon Pro Settings for VMware, enabling system admins to quickly set up a VDI environment, rapidly deploy virtual GPUs to existing virtual machines, and enable hundreds of professionals with just a few mouse clicks depending on the number of GPUs in the system configuration.

Now more than ever with Radeon Pro Virtualized Graphics, system admins will benefit from:

• Outstanding Performance: AMD’s MxGPU (Multiuser GPU) virtualized graphics, the world’s first hardware virtualized GPU solution, supports VMware vSphere 6.0 and higher. Delivering superior performance over the competition, MxGPU provides up to 35% faster performance in SOLIDWORKS, up to 38% faster performance in PTC Creo, and up to 156% faster performance in Siemens NX. 
• Easy Set Up: The new Radeon Pro Settings for VMware is also seamlessly integrated into VMware vCenter, which allows for management of physical GPUs at the host and datacenter level with a simple and intuitive interface.

This integration continues AMD’s momentum in cloud graphics, following our March 23rd announcement that AMD and Citrix have collaborated to unlock MxGPU support for Citrix HDX 3D Pro.
