Patriot Viper V765 keyboard review
Keyboard with new Kailh Box Switches

The Patriot brand is known more widely for making flash drives, SSDs, and RAMOn the 24th of October last year, they announced a new gaming keyboard with RGB backlighting - the Viper V765. It will be the next model in the Viper gaming series, which includes not only keyboards, but also mice, headphones, and other accessories. The V765 is, next to the V760, a keyboard designed for intermediate users, which means that it offers not only basic but also some more advanced functions, while keeping the price reasonable. The Patriot Viper V765 is priced at only USD 99, and for this amount you get Kailh White Box mechanical switches, water resistance, RGB backlighting, and a detachable magnetic wrist rest – which sounds like a good package.

The Viper V765 Mechanical RGB Keyboard comes with a full set of features, including the first-ever DIP LED box switch for maximum lighting effects! The Kailh White box switches are water- and dust -resistant (IP56) to help your keyboard last longer and stay cleaner. The full-size layout with compact design makes the Viper V765 the perfect option to take with you when you need it!  With a 3.6 mm spacing distance, the V765 gives you a quicker response time without sacrificing the mechanical feel gamers need. Don’t just upgrade your set up, bring it to life and immerse yourself in the game. The V765 is built with a durable aluminum chassis and a magnetically detachable palm rest for comfort and support during those long nights of gaming. Backed by a two-year warranty, the V765 is compatible with all up to date platforms.

If you’re looking for a quiet keyboard or one with a flat, linear feel, look elsewhere. The Kailh Box White switches are loud and proud, making a sharp, but very pleasant clicking sound every time you press them. These switches allow typing at high speeds with arguably greater comfort than most of the other options on the market can offer. There is a second variant available, with Kailh Box Red switches, which should be better suited to the needs of gamers. Ok, let’s check how it looks and performs. Next page, please.
