Corsair M65 RGB ELITE

As Corsair releases a new FPS gamers mouse, we review the Corsair M65 RGB ELITE. An upgrade to the M65 which we already found stellar. This device is sturdy with an aluminum design, it's aesthetically pleasing with configurable RGB LEDs and has a grip that is intensely impressive. Not just that, Corsair includes an 18K DPI sensor and made the mouse tunable with an intricate weight system to match the mouse towards what you prefer. It might be one of the more impressive mouse’s we have tested to date. Granted, we tested a lot of mouses, but this puppy is impressive by any standard. The minute you have it on your hands it feels right which is similar to the previous M65 model really, but enhanced. The new Elite model is armed with a staggering 18.000 DPI laser sensor, a customizable weight system, configurable RGB LEDs and a handful of programmable buttons with the help of Corsairs iCUE software suite. The Corsair M65 RGB ELITE will be available in a black as well as a white version.

It is very crowded in the PC gaming hardware arena -- especially when it comes to keyboards and mice. Whether you have 5 bucks to spend or 150 EUR, there always is a product matching that budget. Simple mice, small mice, mice dedicated to games, mice with multiple scanning lasers, mice with adjustable weight systems, and on and on. Theis new M65 model kind of offers it all though.

The 18K dpi mouse has a handsome RGB color customization system that allows for 16.8 million color selection backlighting per one of the three LED location. The M65 advances on that though as its cast is made out of durable aluminum unibody shell covered by a rubber grip. The M65 sensor is based on a Pixart PMW3391 and that means the mouse should be among the most accurate to date.

  • Double zone backlighting with up to 16.8 million colors for virtually infinite customization
  • Custom-tuned 18,000 DPI gaming-grade optical sensor for pixel-precise tracking
  • Omron switches rated for 50 million clicks for years of precise triggering
  • Aluminum frame for light weight and durability
  • Adjustable weight system helps set the center of gravity to match play style
  • Repositioned sniper button
  • On-the-fly DPI switching to instantly match mouse speed to gameplay demands

Corsair diversified and refined the M65 a little more as they targeted the mouse at FPS gamers, since it comes with a special sniper thumb positioned button. Press it and your DPI is instantly lowered to aim more accurate, release it and you are back to your normal DPI level. This gaming peripheral features a total of eight programmable buttons, in addition to adjustable weight turning zones. Have a peek, then have a browse to the next page where we'll review the Corsair M65 RGB Elite mouse. Will the 59 USD/EUR price tag be worth it with regards to features and functionality? Let's find out.
