Corsair M55 RGB PRO gaming mouse review

Introduction

Corsair M55 RGB Pro mouse
Among the best of Corsairs RGB mid-range gaming weaponry?

In this article, we review the Corsair M55 RGB Pro Gaming mouse. It’s a mouse from a somewhat lower segment of the market than the M65 RGB Elite, which we reviewed back in January. It’s a mainstream range and priced product that can attract quite a few customers. As the name suggests, it has RGB lighting (with iCUE compatibility, so you can configure the RGB LEDs yourself). But is that all? Not really, as you’ll find that the product also has a 12,400 DPI optical sensor. The device is pleasing aesthetically, and it’s not the flashy ”gaming” kind, but rather an elegant product. With a weight of 86g, it’s quite light as well.

The Corsair M55 RGB Pro mouse has been fitted with a Pixart PAW3327 gaming-grade optical sensor, which is rated up to 12,4K DPI, and has a polling rate of 1000 Hz. Yes, that’s very, very high, and not necessarily useful in daily applications. This is a mouse that’s suitable for gamers, and Corsair uses the phrase “game-winning versatility with an ambidextrous design” to promote this piece of hardware. The M55 RGB Pro has two-zone RGB color customization and a total of eight programmable buttons. What’s the most important here besides the 12.4K DPI sensor? The fact that it’s a very versatile, ambidextrous design that will work with any grip or palm size. But will it be ok for a guy who’s  6'7" tall?
