Review: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB CPU cooler

Introduction

Today, we are reviewing a 360 mm variant of an AIO cooler from the Arctic, Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB. It’s a successor to a well-known and successful cooler, which we check in 420, 360, 280, and 240 mm versions. Some major changes were applied (which we’ll cover right below), and the performance should be improved thanks to it, but we’ll return to it later. There are the following variants available:

Each one can be gotten with or without the A-RGB lighting. There’s also a possibility of getting a white version (not only black), so everyone should find a match for his needs.

The main differences are:

The Arctic Liquid Freezer III uses an All-in-One formula, with a radiator and pump coupled into a single loop and aided by fans (3 x 120 mm). Speaking of fans, they are PWM-controlled 120 mm P-series units (P12 PWM PST A-RGB, to be exact) with 200-2000 rpm. They should provide a fast heat transfer thanks to their high static pressure and good performance. The airflow is 48.82 cfm|82.91 m3/h, and the static pressure is 1.85 mmH2O. You can find here a 60 mm VRM fan controlled by PWM and with an rpm range of 400 – 2500. It prevents overheating, especially when you overclock, and allows for continuous heavy load.

Regarding the dimensions, the radiator sizes are 398 (L) x 120 (W) x 38 (H) mm (L x W x H). The weight is 1870 g (Fan, Radiator, Pump, Tubes). The length of the tubes is 450 mm, with the outer 12.4 mm and inner 6.0 mm diameters. The Liquid Freezer III 360 aRGB has integrated cable management within fully sleeved tubes for a clean look in your PC’s case.
The Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB is compatible with the following CPU sockets:

The major brands’ software is supported for the lighting effects. The lighting can be adjusted via a 5 V ARGB header on the motherboard to sync it all up. We want to underline that we’re using the i9 13900K Raptor Lake processor to check the cooler and AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (previously, the systems had Intel Core i9 12900K and Ryzen 7 3700X).

Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB is sold at a regular price of 133.99 EUR (but till 20th May, it’s 89.04 EUR); the non-RGB is for 118.99 EUR (and 76.15 EUR with a discount). The full listing is:

The warranty period is six years, so that can be a selling point, as the standard is two years (and only some other manufacturers offer five or six). You’ll get an MX-6 thermal paste in the bundle. You can check the compatibility with the motherboards on the following page. So, let’s head to the specs/feature page, shall we?
