I've got a nice shiny new 4070ti just waiting to get installed for this.

My 4070 Ti has been sweating to the RT Overdrive since it's release earlier in the year. DLSS 3.5 is very much needed to clean up the path tracing artifacts in various places. DLSS Quality and Frame Generation is needed for 1440p with Path tracing with this card. I think the 2.0 patch drops on the 21st.

Is this article suggesting that DLSS 3.5 will not only provide increased framerates, but improved visuals as well. And by improved visuals I mean higher level eye candy than native.

It should. I don`t know about comparing improvements to native but comparing to current DLSS version it should improve picture quality.

Keep an open mind and give it a shot, flip all the switches and see how you like it. One of the most fun titles I ever played, but were all different. If you like the Cyberpunk genre you should at least try it.

I will do but im not a fan of having more than one genre on the go at a time so il finish FC6 before i jump into CP, i did the same finishing Metro EE before starting FC6.

Yes, the native image uses traditional denoisers for the RT implementation that eliminate a lot of detail - especially on characters, the DLSS 3.5 AI Denoisers keep that detail intact. If you're not using RT then there won't be an image quality increase with 3.5. Performance gain will be minimal over the regular 3.0/super res implementation though.

Yeah I'm a max settings guy hence splashing the cash on a 4090. Will it work this way on all RT titles or do they need specifically coded for it,

The latter. But hopefully there will be a generic Unreal Engine implementation, also its software RT should profit by it a lot.

Cyberpunk Max settings on RTX 4090 Truth is=25 FPS in City and 45 FPS outside city. You may have to break down and use DLSS/Framegeration or turn settings down on RTX 4090

That includes path RT yeah? To me that didn't look any different that normal RT which il go with when I play it. I might fire it up this weekend and take a break from FC6 and fine tuning the Libertade mods.

In almost all demanding games, there are crippling settings that do very little in enhancing image quality and can be brought down a notch or two for much improved performance. ppl have to experiment to get the best out of their games on a perf/IQ level.
