ZOTAC Announces VR GO 2.0 Backpack PC

ZOTAC Announces VR GO 2.0 Backpack PC

While typing this, I started to wonder - do people actually really buy stuff like this?  Zotac announces the VR GO 2.0, the world's first VR Backpack PC refreshed from the ground up. The VR GO 2.0 improves the untethered VR experience with high-end performance repackaged into a more compact, ergonomic chassis.

The VR GO 2.0 is designed for unlocking the potential of VR across industries and businesses in entertainment, product development, medical practice, design, education, customer service, eSports, and much more. Integrating mobility and high-performance hardware, the revamped backpack solution empowers life-like immersion with zero compromises to latency and reduction in visual quality with today's leading VR headsets.

The system comes with the powerful and efficient NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics with 8GB memory while an Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB DDR4 memory provides the horsepower and bandwidth to sail through intensive tasks, delivering an ultra-smooth experience. The VR GO 2.0 is further equipped with centralized ports and top mounted I/O ports dedicated for easy VR HMD connectivity.

BE UNSTOPPABLE
The new backpack design features an even weight distribution, added foam padding on the back support and shoulder straps, and an extended length back support, allowing the system to sit further away from the back for maximum ventilation and pro-longed comfort.

The hot-swappable batteries and external battery charging dock enable up to 1.5 hours of uninterrupted action - and nearly limitless playtime. It's also smarter with an easily visible battery life indicator and features an audible alert when power is low.

DANCE OF COLORS
Let the colors of light dance along with your play with the next-gen SPECTRA 2.0 Lighting equipped with more powerful addressable LEDs. The colors are more fine-tuned and the transitions buttery smooth, and SPECTRA 2.0 enables a unique visual identification of a user from afar.

MORE THAN VR READY
In 2 simple steps, the VR GO 2.0 becomes a powerful and compact gaming system. Whether it's room-scale, seated VR experiences, or desktop gaming, the VR GO 2.0 adapts so you can enjoy the best of all worlds. And like all ZOTAC Mini PCs, the backpack PC is open for all possibilities. Easily add or upgrade memory, expand storage, or freely connect additional accessories or peripherals with its wide range of ports.

Why not just buy the wireless adapter and use a desktop or laptop plugged in to the wall? I can't imagine those batteries last that long and that whole set up is probably really heavy after 20-30 minutes worth of use. Unless of course the batteries die before then.
