AMD @ Computex 2022 Keynote - AMD Ryzen 7000 / 600-series AM5 motherboard announcements
AMD will kick off this year's Computex in Taiwan, the world's largest display of computer components. The Ryzen 7000 series processors for desktops were undoubtedly the most crucial news that CEO Lisa Su brought with him. These eagerly anticipated new CPUs will be available in the fall, exactly two years after the first Ryzen 5000 processors were released.
You can watch the presentation, including a demo of Ryzen 7000 below.

Any chance for 256GB memory support?
Basically I would be interested in a mini ITX format with 2 slots that support 128GB.

ok so without snark - that would be nice
but that is a niche desire (that most of us would like) and the thought of 2x 128Gb DDR5 RAM
is making my wallet cry (niche on niche cuz that's crazy expensive w/DDR4)

I fully expect this to happen. There are already 64GB DDR5 modules out so I expect AMD to support them. There really should be no reason they would not have thought of this support.

i'm in no way disagreeing with you.
i would like to point out that this is an emerging market.
as you said, one that should've been seen coming.
the two channel memory "workstation" has been kicking around while growing in ATX and m-ATX with the popularity of streaming content skyrocketing.
the capabilities in the cpus of just the last five years has expanded so fast i sold off a perfectly good TR3 Threadripper workstation, bought a 5950X, mobo, gpu, and cpu (and still had money left as that was a wc system)
and i thought i splurged with 128Gb of RAM.
which btw is physically 1/3 smaller in footprint. and i know i'm not the only one to "downsize" or be pleasantly surprised that i could do 95% of the same workload (for me) w/ two channel memory.
now that that's had a good life i will be selling it on for an AM5 ITX
if there's a mobo under $500 that takes 256Gb RAM i will squeal with joy like a little girl.
