Updated: Download AMD Crimson ReLive 16.12.2 January 9 2017 WHQL release
AMD today updated the Crimson ReLive 16.12.2 drivers. The new drivers now have WHQL certification with a January 3 build date. Some users report fixed VRAM clock issues. Apparently these also fix some ping time issues with certain WiFi adapters and also fix a mouse cursor corruption issue.
Download here.

AMD strange nomenclature.
Name it 17.01, 17.01.1, 16.12.3, 16.12.2.1 or even 16.12.3 Hotfix to don't confuse consumers because there is ALREADY a 16.2.2 released.
Is AMD short of numbers to differentiate drivers versions?

Guessing the one in charge went to CES. The intern just left the version number alone. But added jan3 to the file.
Kill the intern. =D j/k j/k
@JonasBeckman, don't worried I will email him. =D
Update: Wagnard said he will check on it in a few days. RL job is taking over his life. =D

Had some strange graphical anomalies in Waterfox just now with these drivers that I have never seen before.. half the page went black and then some buttons were black and then I put the mouse over them and they went back, and then minimized Waterfox and Maximized it again and it went back to normal.

No issues so far with the install of these, haven't really used them much though and with my luck 17.1.1 will be out tomorrow or something requiring another driver install.
(This looks like a bit of a interim bug-fix though in-between the full 17.x.x driver release whenever that will be, week or two perhaps if they're intending to have a driver out in January, possibly a beta but eh who knows.)
Compared to 16.12.2 from December 19th this version (Dated January 3rd.) should have a fix for DOTA 2 and ReLive and a fix for high Wifi ping times though a new issue has cropped up in regards to occasional mouse cursor corruption observed on the AMD 480 Polaris GPU's, probably not specific to this particular driver though but just added to the list of known issues as AMD is aware of it.
(Might have crept in with the code changes for the ReLive driver but that's just a guess.)
Hopefully these will improve or outright fix the problematic downclocking (Memory only?) of certain GCN 1.1 GPU models that has also been a issue since the ReLive drivers launched.
(It's not part of the release notes but usually those only cover "highlights" or how to say and are not a full changelog as such.)
EDIT: Oh and for those using DDU this driver might not be supported yet if you try to uninstall it that way just as a heads-up until the software is updated, or just verified as compatible.
.\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B309929
That thing with the display driver files now has 163 files in it whereas 16.12.2 from December 19th had I think somewhere around 140, doing a copy paste the Jan 3rd driver replaces all of the existing ones so no legacy/redundancy files but it adds some ~20 new ones which might not be covered by DDU yet if they're fully new files. (Or how to say, Wagnard probably checks most driver releases and updates DDU as needed so this is likely not a big problem.)
I'll check this when I have time, If we are lucky theses files are in folders that are already removed.
If anything urgent, contact me.
