THQ gives away free Metro: 2033 copies to promote Last Light
In an effort to promote Metro: Last Light, game publisher THQ is giving away free copies of the game's predecessor, Metro: 2033. All you have to do to is like the Metro fan page on Facebook and follow the instructions to receive a key to download Metro: 2033 for free via Steam. Be quick though because the offer expires on Sunday.

I think this is a smart move. How many copies of Metro 2033 can they be moving at this point? Anybody who had any interest in this title already has the game. By offering it for free, they are likely to grab a few fence-sitters who may find themselves surprisingly attracted to what this game has to offer, and in turn, generate interest in Last Light.

I bought Metro 2033 then 10 seconds later THQ gives it away for free. Meh.

Lol, fail!
Oh well, as long as you got it at a good/discounted price it can't be that bad...

Considering Metro 2033's horsepower requirements, I'm not sure this is such a good idea
