The 4th of November will see the arrival of Intel Alder Lake processors (allegedly)

The 4th of November will see the arrival of Intel Alder Lake processors (allegedly)

Intel Alder Lake CPUs go on sale on November 4th. That's two weeks earlier than expected. Orders for desktop processors will begin on October 27.

A communication from MSI actually indicates the start date of sales. LCS Coolers owners can get a free update kit for the new LGA1700 socket starting November 4. Several more sources have confirmed that actually would be the availability date for the new processors. Pre-orders begin October 27, according to Wccftech. On that day, Intel will hold its Intel Innovation event, revealing all the specifics regarding Alder Lake. Earlier reports said the Alder Lake CPUs and Z690 chipset would be released on November 19. If the processors are available on November 4, then the motherboards must be available as well.

Intel revealed the architecture of its Alder Lake processors in August, but no formal processor range has been disclosed. Initially, only three Alder Lake processors (K and KF) are expected. These lack an integrated GPU.

Will be nice when and if Intel announces a firm date. Seriously, if Intel is merely a little over a month out from shipping them, why on Earth wouldn't they make it official? Doesn't make a lot of sense, especially in light of Intel's very recent statements that the chip shortages (for Intel) were going to last through 2022. Something is missing here, I think. If Intel waits until November to announce them, then I would guess availability will begin sometime in H1 2022 (if Intel's earlier statements about the shortages going through 2022 prove too pessimistic.) Where are the AL motherboards?

guaranteed.
it's not as if they have any other clients for "Intel 7" ('tho they are going to get a fat gov't contact for custom silicon)
and their fab capacity is second to One ;)

one thing you can say about Intel, no fabs are outputting (new nodes) until all fabs are outputting within parameters. so they will not be putting dribs and drabs out from one or two overstressed plants.

the super bonus good thing that is an unused Ace in Intel's pocket is no one can execute a product turn around like them.
which is because they are the only fab that designs their own uArch left. and because their market cap(italtization) gives them a war chest few governments have. which means Alder Lake shortly and Xe gaming will be widely available within two months of launch.
again, their own products fabbed to order. and made with fewer physical steps and thousands of miles less direct from US/Israel

and as close as TSMC and AMD/Apple, and even Nvidia are there are not only time zone differentials (easy tho and a lot of expats from each living in the Silicon Valley or Taipei) there are corporate differences and an innate cost-of-doing-business that's higher than Intel.
So,... they can output cpu/gpu to demand on demand well within a launch cycle so if the tranche sells at different levels there is a NEAR real time ability to meet the demand at the vendor level.
while they DO have launch partners it doesn't affect their ability have a RL launch in mass channels.

i love AMD and Nvidia
this is reality
