Super Talent Releases SuperCache AIC314 series PCIe SSD

Super Talent has released a very fast SuperCache AIC314 series PCIe SSD. They will become available in a 480GB, 960GB and 1920GB models and offers sequential read/write speeds of 3000MB/s and 2200MB/s respectively.

This new SSD will use a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and a Phison PS5007-E7 controller and will use MLC NAND flash memory. This drive is designed for data center/enterprise use and contains several banks of capacitors that will mitigate data loss during a sudden power outage.

SuperCashe is a PCIe NVMe Add In Card type Solid State Drive. It supports a max read speed of up to 3.0 GB/sec and a max write speed as fast as 2.2 GB/sec for Audio/Video Cache application. It also has a great performance of Random 4KB Read/Write up to 340K/260K IOPS. This AIC can also fit into 1U/2U/4U Rack Server System.

Features

  • PCIe Gen.3 x4 lane host interface
  • Max Speed: Read up to 3.0 GB/s, Write up to 2.2 GB/s
  • Capacities up to 2 TB

This new SSD is listed as having 340,000 random read IOPS and 260,000 4K random write IOPS, making these drives useful for fast reads and data transfers. Right now Super Talent has not announced the pricing of this new SSD, or if they plan on releasing a consumer-oriented version.

Controller: Phison PS5007-E7
Form Factor: PCIe (Gen3)
Capacities: 480GB – 2TB
NAND Flash: MLC
Performance: (Access Time) 0.1ms
Speed: Read/Write (MB/sec) 3000/2200 (Seq. Read/Write in MB/s)
340K/260K (4KB random Read/Write in IOPS)
Battery Backup: Supports Sudden Power Off Recovery
MTBF: >1,000,000 hrs
Dimension: (mm) Please see the linked datasheet below
