Samsung S49A950UIU: 5K 120Hz USB-C dock and KVM monitor Dual QHD

Samsung offers a range of ultra-wide 49-inch monitors with a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels in a 32: 9 aspect ratio, which the firm markets to gamers. The S49A950UIU however is billed as a business monitor. Additionally, the aforementioned resolution is available in 120 Hz, USB-C, Ethernet, and KVM modes.

Samsung has announced the release of a new ultra-wide monitor. The S49A950UIU is similar of the Odyssey G9 models that the Korean company has had in its gaming range for a while, but it is designed for office use rather than gaming use. Some features have been updated and others have been added when compared to the Odyssey monitors

S49A950UIU is limited to a maximum refresh rate of 'only' 120 Hz, whereas the Odysseys can achieve a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. The 5,120 x 1,440-pixel resolution of the 49-inch VA panel, as well as its maximum brightness of 350 nits and contrast ratio of 3,000:1, make it an excellent choice for gaming. The radius of curvature is 1800R.

In contrast, it is now possible to connect a PC or laptop through USB-C, which allows for a maximum power supply of 90 W to be sent to the linked device. The monitor may be used as a USB hub because it has three type-A USB ports and can also transmit data over Ethernet. There is also an integrated virtualization switch, which when used in conjunction with the picture-by-picture mode, allows you to utilize two computers at the same time without having to switch between them. In terms of color depth, Samsung specifies 10 bits, and the quantum dot layer (which the company refers to as "QLED") is expected to cover 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, according to the company. Additional information can be found on the product sites of Samsung.

For around 1,250 euros, the S49A950UIU has recently been offered in the first online shops that carry it. The exact date of delivery has not yet been confirmed.

Might just be.
Still very odd that they label them for business, being curved and not IPS is a disadvantage for most business use.
