Samsung 34in Curved Monitor Ultra WQHD S34E790CN

Samsung releases its 34" Curved Monitor Ultra WQHD S34E790CN. With the latest innovations in technology, monitors have evolved to feature stunning curved screens that match the natural curvature of the human eye, providing a more uniform and comfortable viewing experience.

A natural fit for your eyes with an industry-leading curvature of 3,000 R, delivering a wider field of view that’s easy on the eyes for the most comfortable viewing experience ever. Ultra-wide 21 : 9 Aspect Ratio: Get up-close and personal with the ultimate panoramic theatre experience, or split the screen into multiple spaces for unparalleled efficiency.

The screen has 3440 x 1440 pixels, split-screen and PIP functions. It comes with DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 1.4 connectors. It has a 4 ms (GTG) response time, 178°/178° viewing angles, 300 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio.

The SE790C comes with several useful advanced features that optimise your picture and sound to give you a richly immersive and realistic entertainment experience. Built-in Dual Stereo Speakers (7 W x 2): The SE790C was created with 7-Watt, 2-channel dual stereo speakers built right into the curve. Thanks to Samsung’s proprietary Dual Sound Engine and acoustic mechanical engineering technology, the speakers deliver original sound that is richer than speakers with a single engine. Game Mode: Instantly adjust your monitor settings for an optimised gaming experience through the on-screen display. Game Mode improves the darkness of the picture so that you can see all the action vividly. ast 4ms Response Time/60Hz Refresh Rate: See even the fastest on-screen motion clearly and smoothly without any motion blur, judder or ghosting.

You will lso spot a 4-port USB 3.0 hub, and 7W stereo speakers. Measuring 821.5 mm x 275.5 mm x 552 mm (WxDxH), it weighs 9.9 kg (including stand). It is expected to hit the stores around the 15th of this month.

It's a lottery as to whether you'll get a good one when buying these, the amount of light bleed can be pretty appalling if you get a bad one.

OCUK forums, where the monitor has been on sale for a while, has quite a lot of buyers telling how they've returned theirs because of it.

No Vesa mount? No thanks!

Also, 60FPS only? Acer's version is looking much better than this one.. again, considering they don't too suffer from bleed.

If I were to buy a 34 etc. monitor it would be the Dell. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/gaming_accessories/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&s=que&cs=caque1&sku=210-adtr In all my experience with Dell monitors,I believe they're the best and have the best warranty too.

Amen to that, bro...something that big but without a VESA mount that'd be a big minus.
