Rumor: AMD to launch the RX 6X50XT between June and July, and an RX 6500 in May

Rumor: AMD to launch the RX 6X50XT between June and July, and an RX 6500 in May

Rumors concerning AMD's future plans continue to circulate, and Greymon55 specifically mentioned the new Radeon RX 6X50XT and a rumored RX 6500 (no XT) that would arrive a few weeks earlier.

AMD is expected to deliver the RX 6500 in May for roughly $130, according to Greymon55. It says in a following tweet that it is a higher TDP RX 6400 to accomplish the higher frequencies. Bear in mind that the RX 6400's TDP is only 53W, less than half that of the RX 6500 XT's 107W. This RX 6500 may have a TDP of between 80W and 100W to achieve acceptable frequencies, although this has not been confirmed. On the RX 6X50 XT side, it is almost certain that we will see the RX 6750XT, RX 6850XT, and RX 6950XT models, which will include a higher TDP and 18Gbps RAM, as opposed to the 16Gbps memory seen on the RX 6700 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX6900XT. These would come between June and July, barely three or four months before the RX 7000 range, thus their launch makes little sense if they will be superseded by far better technology in three months. As is customary with rumors, we advise you to take them with a grain of salt.

We'll have to wait and see if these rumors prove to be true or not whenever these dates approach.

RX6500 non XT , i mean can you really gimp that card more ? , what reduced clocks ? 32bit bus ? reduced clocks ?. When you get in levels of 1050 it , its bottom minimum , below that is OFFICE/TV work , and that can do ANY CHEAP INTEL IGPU.

I think RX 7000 will be released mid November or early December, so if RX 6x50 will come in June or July its around half of the year so I'm sure miners will appreciate it XD

For those interested the WX 6400 (the pro version of the RX 6400) is already in shop.
It's an office GPU, and NO it can't do TV as it can't support some standard (it's the same problem than RX 6500 XT)...
